Referral Programs - referral programs are programs wherein a member attempts to sign up other members to the same program in order to earn a commission. Obviously it's a snap to rank number one on these engines because all you have to do is be the highest bidder. This is the fastest way there is of generating traffic because you can set up an account and start getting hits to your site within minutes.

Advertising - this is most expensive and least effective way to generate traffic. The only way to make this pay is if you're offering visitors something that you can make enough money on to really afford this kind of traffic generation.
